About me

After a PhD in cellular biology, I decided to become a veterinarian specialized in zoological and aquatic medicine. I did a residency training in aquatic and zoological veterinary medicine at University of Florida, which involved working at various zoological institutions and aquariums. Then, I worked as a full time veterinarian at Dublin zoo (Ireland) and Beauval Zoo (France). I am currently working as a consultant in referral veterinary practices focusing on exotics only. I have a special interest in conservation medicine; which includes working as a clinician and being part or initiating research projects, focusing on diseases and animal welfare (including anesthesia) at the interface between animal, human and our environment. I reach the status of diplomate of the American College of Zoological Medicine.
